LORD of Hosts
1 The earth is the LORD's, and the fulness thereof; the world, and they that dwell therein.
2 For he hath founded it upon the seas, and established it upon the floods.
3 Who shall ascend into the hill of the LORD? or who shall stand in his holy place?
4 He that hath clean hands, and a pure heart; who hath not lifted up his soul unto vanity, nor sworn deceitfully.
5 He shall receive blessing from the LORD, and righteousness from the God of his salvation.
6 This is the generation of them that seek him, that seek thy face, O Jacob.
7 Lift up your heads, O ye gates; and be ye lift up, ye everlasting doors; and the King of glory shall come in.
8 Who is this King of glory?
The LORD strong and mighty, the LORD mighty in battle.
9 Lift up your heads, O ye gates; even lift them up, ye everlasting doors; and the King of glory shall come in.
10 Who is this King of glory? The LORD of hosts, he is the King of glory.
He is Alive - The Resurrection
To celebrate the resurrection this year we present the famous "gospel" section from 1 Corinthians 15. We would like to encourage you to click on one of the "resurrection" links (they all link to the same page). The bodily resurrection is central to our faith, so take some time to read and study the sample verses that deal with the resurrection, and then click on some of the detailed study links to grow in your faith and walk with the Lord!
1 Corinthians 15:1-581 Moreover, brethren, I declare unto you the gospel which I preached unto you, which also ye have received, and wherein ye stand;
2 By which also ye are saved, if ye keep in memory what I preached unto you, unless ye have believed in vain.
3 For I delivered unto you first of all that which I also received, how that Christ died for our sins according to the scriptures;
4 And that he was buried, and that he rose again the third day according to the scriptures:
5 And that he was seen of Cephas, then of the twelve:
6 After that, he was seen of above five hundred brethren at once; of whom the greater part remain unto this present, but some are fallen asleep.
7 After that, he was seen of James; then of all the apostles.
8 And last of all he was seen of me also, as of one born out of due time.
9 For I am the least of the apostles, that am not meet to be called an apostle, because I persecuted the church of God.
10 But by the grace of God I am what I am: and his grace which was bestowed upon me was not in vain; but I laboured more abundantly than they all: yet not I, but the grace of God which was with me.
11 Therefore whether it were I or they, so we preach, and so ye believed.
12 Now if Christ be preached that he rose from the dead, how say some among you that there is no resurrection of the dead?
13 But if there be no resurrection of the dead, then is Christ not risen:
14 And if Christ be not risen, then is our preaching vain, and your faith is also vain.
15 Yea, and we are found false witnesses of God; because we have testified of God that he raised up Christ: whom he raised not up, if so be that the dead rise not.
16 For if the dead rise not, then is not Christ raised:
17 And if Christ be not raised, your faith is vain; ye are yet in your sins.
18 Then they also which are fallen asleep in Christ are perished.
19 If in this life only we have hope in Christ, we are of all men most miserable.
20 But now is Christ risen from the dead, and become the firstfruits of them that slept.
21 For since by man came death, by man came also the resurrection of the dead.
22 For as in Adam all die, even so in Christ shall all be made alive.
23 But every man in his own order: Christ the firstfruits; afterward they that are Christ's at his coming.
24 Then cometh the end, when he shall have delivered up the kingdom to God, even the Father; when he shall have put down all rule and all authority and power.
25 For he must reign, till he hath put all enemies under his feet.
26 The last enemy that shall be destroyed is death.
27 For he hath put all things under his feet. But when he saith all things are put under him, it is manifest that he is excepted, which did put all things under him.
28 And when all things shall be subdued unto him, then shall the Son also himself be subject unto him that put all things under him, that God may be all in all.
29 Else what shall they do which are baptized for the dead, if the dead rise not at all? why are they then baptized for the dead?
30 And why stand we in jeopardy every hour?
31 I protest by your rejoicing which I have in Christ Jesus our Lord, I die daily.
32 If after the manner of men I have fought with beasts at Ephesus, what advantageth it me, if the dead rise not? let us eat and drink; for to morrow we die.
33 Be not deceived: evil communications corrupt good manners.
34 Awake to righteousness, and sin not; for some have not the knowledge of God: I speak this to your shame.
35 But some man will say, How are the dead raised up? and with what body do they come?
36 Thou fool, that which thou sowest is not quickened, except it die:
37 And that which thou sowest, thou sowest not that body that shall be, but bare grain, it may chance of wheat, or of some other grain:
38 But God giveth it a body as it hath pleased him, and to every seed his own body.
39 All flesh is not the same flesh: but there is one kind of flesh of men, another flesh of beasts, another of fishes, and another of birds.
40 There are also celestial bodies, and bodies terrestrial: but the glory of the celestial is one, and the glory of the terrestrial is another.
41 There is one glory of the sun, and another glory of the moon, and another glory of the stars: for one star differeth from another star in glory.
42 So also is the resurrection of the dead. It is sown in corruption; it is raised in incorruption:
43 It is sown in dishonour; it is raised in glory: it is sown in weakness; it is raised in power:
44 It is sown a natural body; it is raised a spiritual body. There is a natural body, and there is a spiritual body.
45 And so it is written, The first man Adam was made a living soul; the last Adam was made a quickening spirit.
46 Howbeit that was not first which is spiritual, but that which is natural; and afterward that which is spiritual.
47 The first man is of the earth, earthy; the second man is the Lord from heaven.
48 As is the earthy, such are they also that are earthy: and as is the heavenly, such are they also that are heavenly.
49 And as we have borne the image of the earthy, we shall also bear the image of the heavenly.
50 Now this I say, brethren, that flesh and blood cannot inherit the kingdom of God; neither doth corruption inherit incorruption.
51 Behold, I shew you a mystery; We shall not all sleep, but we shall all be changed,
52 In a moment, in the twinkling of an eye, at the last trump: for the trumpet shall sound, and the dead shall be raised incorruptible, and we shall be changed.
53 For this corruptible must put on incorruption, and this mortal must put on immortality.
54 So when this corruptible shall have put on incorruption, and this mortal shall have put on immortality, then shall be brought to pass the saying that is written, Death is swallowed up in victory.
55 O death, where is thy sting? O grave, where is thy victory?
56 The sting of death is sin; and the strength of sin is the law.
57 But thanks be to God, which giveth us the victory through our Lord Jesus Christ.
58 Therefore, my beloved brethren, be ye stedfast, unmoveable, always abounding in the work of the Lord, forasmuch as ye know that your labour is not in vain in the Lord.
—1 Corinthians 15:1-58 (KJV)
Blessings, and share the gospel with somebody today!

Praise the Lord, and Merry Christmas! As part of the season, it is that time of year when I get letters about "Christmas", both pro and con. If you were to pick any other day of year to celebrate the birth of our Lord, the world would continue to be "offended" (along with a significant part of the Church) at both the phrase "Christmas" and at the celebration... Of course the "world" is offended, and we were warned about that in John 15:18 (and numerous other places):
If the world hate you, ye know that it hated me before it hated you.
—John 15:18 (KJV)
It should come as no surprise that Christmas is about Christ, a fact sometimes lost in the celebration, so if you would like to know more about Christ (your one and only way to salvation) you can get a start by reading about what the Bible says about Jesus, the Christ. We have collected a (small?) sample of Biblical passages about Christ in a study section: Christ Studying the Word of God will be one of the most rewarding investments in time you will ever make, so we encourage you in the following year to grow closer to the Lord, and His Word.
A Short Context Study on Christ (the real meaning of Christmas):
===>>> Christ <<<===
Blessings, and Merry Christmas,
I would like to offer a personal prayer of thanksgiving:
Father, I would like to thank You and praise You for blessing us with the opportunity to spread Your Word through this website. It is a tremendous daily blessing to be able to tell people about salvation and eternal life through Your Son, Jesus Christ. Help direct all of us Lord in how to further spread the Gospel, whether that is in ministry or personal witness in daily life with family and friends. We pray that those that visit this site will be blessed and find something useful to help them in their own Christian walk, and of course help them in witnessing to others. Direct our paths Father as we continue to witness in an increasingly troubled world that needs You. We ask this in the name of Your Son Jesus, amen.
Have a happy Thanksgiving, and tell somebody today about Who is responsible for blessings!
Happy Fourth of July!
A short prayer for our Nation:
We have been through some trying times and challenges to the Church Body recently. It is important to note however, that while man's laws may change, God's laws do not. More on that later, but today let's celebrate Independence Day. Of course the greatest freedom ever given to man by God was the freedom to be set free from the bondage to sin, which was paid for on the Cross by Jesus Christ.
If the Son therefore shall make you free, ye shall be free indeed. (John 8:36)
Have a Happy and Blessed July 4 Celebration!
He is Alive!
It was out of perfect love that He was sent to the cross, reaching out to a fallen world to bring that world back to Him. He suffered on the cross for our sins, and then rose again with the promise that all who believed on His Name would also celebrate eternal life with Him.
But God commendeth his love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us.
—Romans 5:8 (KJV)
As you celebrate the Resurrection of Christ, make it a point to share the gospel with family, friends, and strangers, and let them know that they too can have eternal life in the presence of our Lord, as well as find peace in this life, in an increasingly troubled world.
Yours in Christ,
Netanyahu Speech to Congress
(In Case you missed it)
This may be the most important video that some of you never watched. Laughing at kitties on Youtube may be fun, but there are things going on in the background that may destroy YOUR life.
Hopefully this video will stay live for a while. The MSM (Main Stream Media) tried to divert attention from this, and the Democrats walked out on Netanyahu's speech, but your future health and welfare is being sold to the highest bidder. Remember that Iran calls Israel the "little satan", and calls America the "great satan".
Yours in Christ,
NBC News: "We Just Make It Up"
Brian Williams: Just Another Cog in the Myth Machine
Some of you have noticed the NBC protest logo before. It has been on the site for many years. I have no doubt that most have looked at the protest image and asked "why???". The recent news about Brian Williams is a symptom, not a cause. This is obvious on several levels, and of course the pressure for ratings at that level must be intense. It is the culture at NBC News that is at the root of the problem.
The Myth Machine, aka NBC News, has a long history of fabricated and exaggerated news stories, such as the exploding gas tanks, fake/edited reporting of the George Zimmerman incident, Katrina hurricane reporting, politically slanted news stories that favor Democrats and attack Republicans during elections (ok, year around), and now completely falsified reporting by Brian Williams, claiming he was "shot down" in a helicopter in war - an incident that NEVER happened.
So... the Myth Machine, NBC News, marches on hoping you will forget their long history of falsified news and biased reporting... just like you forgot the fake reporting of gas tank explosions, and many other "errors" from NBC.
How to Cure Your NBC Myth Machine AddictionActually the cure is fairly simple: Grab your remote control, and switch from NBC/MSNBC to almost any other network. MSNBC is just another rebrand of the junk news, sensationalism, fabrication, and left wing slant of NBC News (and NBC parent organization). There is no essential difference between the MSNBC News Myth Machine, and the main source of mythical and slanted news: NBC News.
We are blessed in America with a press that has Constitutional rights to honestly investigate and report on important issues of the day. Most countries do not enjoy the blessings of a free press. We would hope that the *news* would at least try to represent the truth in America, and exercise "investigative journalism" in a responsible way. A popular question on TV lately (by other talking heads on TV) is whether Brian Williams is a liar, or just delusional. Perhaps the question is unkind, but flagrant abuse in a position of trust, by a news organization that purports to keep America "informed", does raise some serious questions about that organization. It is sad to see an organization like NBC become nothing more than a mix of biased news and fabrication, always operating with a bias towards the Democrat Party.
Regardless of the answer to the questions from the TV commentators (liar vs delusional), it might be wise to question what you are hearing and seeing on TV and other news media. Also question the agenda of those providing "news and entertainment" (hint: Saturday Night Live will start praising Democrats and trashing Republicans soon, an election is coming). Obviously the other MSM (Main Stream Media) have biased and fake reporting too, but NBC/MSNBC really sets the pace, turning biased and fake news into an art form.
Question: Don't You Have an Agenda? Yes, absolutely! Our agenda is first getting people saved by grace through faith in Jesus Christ, the Son of God, Who died on the cross for your sins, and then getting people into Christian fellowship and living the kinds of lives that God wants them to live. This is a "Conservative Christian" website, so it should come as no surprise that we oppose liberal politicians and politics and support conservative causes. The ultra-liberal NBC/MSNBC agenda is in opposition to many of the things that are important to most Christians, so our position on NBC/MSNBC News should be obvious.
Here is the original story from Stars & Stripes:
Stars & Stripes Story of Fake Brian Williams (NBC News) Reporting
In the Youtube below, Brian Williams repeats the myth, and part way through the video David Letterman describes Williams as "a true journalistic and war hero". cough cough... journalistic and war hero ... cough cough. Calling Brian Williams a "war hero" would be funny, except for the fact that it dishonors true war heroes.
Edit, 3/3/15This section originally had a Youtube video of Brian Williams telling some of his "whoppers" where he made up news. NBC News has been busy deleting Youtube videos and hiding evidence. You really can't hide stuff like this, and we all know that NBC has been "caught, again" making up news.
Beloved, believe not every spirit, but try the spirits whether they are of God: because many false prophets are gone out into the world.
—1 John 4:1 (KJV)
We are *obviously* not talking about prophets here, but America has a long history of investigational journalism and freedom of the press. The same lesson of 1 John 4:1 should be applied to news, and of course the government. It is important to be able to discern when groups or individuals are lying to you, or slanting the news towards a particular point of view.
News is important, and freedom of the press is listed explicitly in the First Amendment to the U.S. Constitution. It is a shame that NBC News is using its freedom to fabricate news, and act as a de facto branch of the Democrat Party. For years we have had a large collection of news links to help people stay informed (I really need to make the news links easier to navigate). I even have links to the ultra-liberal New York Times. However, what you won't find are links to NBC:
(end of 3/3/15 update)
When this story first surfaced, I was talking with friends about the Stars and Stripes article and said: "Who do you trust, Stars and Stripes and a bunch of veterans and service members (i.e., true war heroes) that were willing to lay down their lives to protect our nation, or a bunch of NBC / MSNBC reporters with a long history of lies, deceit, and Democrat Party talking points, and who appear to be members in good standing of the "I hate America club".
So why post this? Because truth is important, and some of you may think you are staying informed by watching NBC News or its partner in deceit and political slant, MSNBC. And now you also have a bit of an explanation of the "MSNBC - Just Say NO" political statement that has been around for many years. In my opinion, NBC and MSNBC has not had a professional news department for many years.
Yours in Christ,
As the Perfect Gift, God gave us His Son Jesus Christ in the flesh over 2000 years ago. As God the Son, He was with God the Father and God the Holy Spirit from the beginning... and now His birth as God the Son has been celebrated for 2000 years. God gave us His Son Jesus in unconditional and perfect love for fallen man. He knew we couldn't reach Him on our own strength, so He sent His Son, as a gift.
16For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.
17For God sent not his Son into the world to condemn the world; but that the world through him might be saved.
18He that believeth on him is not condemned: but he that believeth not is condemned already, because he hath not believed in the name of the only begotten Son of God.
—John 3:16-18 (KJV)
1In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God.
2The same was in the beginning with God.
3All things were made by him; and without him was not any thing made that was made.
4In him was life; and the life was the light of men.
5And the light shineth in darkness; and the darkness comprehended it not.
14And the Word was made flesh, and dwelt among us, (and we beheld his glory, the glory as of the only begotten of the Father,) full of grace and truth.
—John 1:1-5, 14 (KJV)
What we celebrate at this time of year is not a date on the calendar, or another "end of the year holiday", but rather a celebration of God's Perfect Gift of His Son Jesus Christ, and His birth. One of the ways we celebrate is through gifts, charitable giving, and other acts of love. The famous "Love Chapter" in Corinthians gives us another view of Godly love.
1 Corinthians 12: The "Love" Chapter in KJV and NASB1Though I speak with the tongues of men and of angels, and have not charity, I am become as sounding brass, or a tinkling cymbal.
2And though I have the gift of prophecy, and understand all mysteries, and all knowledge; and though I have all faith, so that I could remove mountains, and have not charity, I am nothing.
3And though I bestow all my goods to feed the poor, and though I give my body to be burned, and have not charity, it profiteth me nothing.
4Charity suffereth long, and is kind; charity envieth not; charity vaunteth not itself, is not puffed up,
5Doth not behave itself unseemly, seeketh not her own, is not easily provoked, thinketh no evil;
6Rejoiceth not in iniquity, but rejoiceth in the truth;
7Beareth all things, believeth all things, hopeth all things, endureth all things.
8Charity never faileth: but whether there be prophecies, they shall fail; whether there be tongues, they shall cease; whether there be knowledge, it shall vanish away.
9For we know in part, and we prophesy in part.
10But when that which is perfect is come, then that which is in part shall be done away.
11When I was a child, I spake as a child, I understood as a child, I thought as a child: but when I became a man, I put away childish things.
12For now we see through a glass, darkly; but then face to face: now I know in part; but then shall I know even as also I am known.
13And now abideth faith, hope, charity, these three; but the greatest of these is charity.
—1 Corinthians 12 (KJV)
1If I speak with the tongues of men and of angels, but do not have love, I have become a noisy gong or a clanging cymbal.
2If I have the gift of prophecy, and know all mysteries and all knowledge; and if I have all faith, so as to remove mountains, but do not have love, I am nothing.
3And if I give all my possessions to feed the poor, and if I surrender my body to be burned, but do not have love, it profits me nothing.
4Love is patient, love is kind and is not jealous; love does not brag and is not arrogant,
5does not act unbecomingly; it does not seek its own, is not provoked, does not take into account a wrong suffered,
6does not rejoice in unrighteousness, but rejoices with the truth; 7bears all things, believes all things, hopes all things, endures all things.
8Love never fails; but if there are gifts of prophecy, they will be done away; if there are tongues, they will cease; if there is knowledge, it will be done away.
9For we know in part and we prophesy in part;
10but when the perfect comes, the partial will be done away.
11When I was a child, I used to speak like a child, think like a child, reason like a child; when I became a man, I did away with childish things.
12For now we see in a mirror dimly, but then face to face; now I know in part, but then I will know fully just as I also have been fully known.
13But now faith, hope, love, abide these three; but the greatest of these is love.
—1 Corinthians 12 (NASB)
While you are thinking about gifts, giving, love, and charity this year, here are a few suggestions for donations and ways to help others. Helping people in need is one of the best investments you can make in your life, and in the lives of others. The examples below are just a small sample of great places for charitable giving. Some of the examples are international in scope while others are local. I encouarge all of you to donate to these or other charities as the Lord leads you.
Yours in Christ, and have a very Merry Christmas,
We would like to thank and praise the Lord for blessing us with the ability to spread His Word for another year! In the last few months we have managed to break major sections of the site, and then put them back together with the Lord's help. The ability to spread God's Word is one of the greatest blessings a person can have, and we are thankful for His blessing us with the ability to do just that.
We started this site about 20 years ago, back in the days when sites like this would routinely consist of a collection of files all located in the "document root" (all files in the same directory). A couple of decades later it has become abundantly clear why "you shouldn't do that". We take full credit for the "poor design choices", and as usual, if we get anything right the full credit goes to the Lord! We will continue to do some architectural work in the background, and Lord willing hope to add some new things in the future.
As you sit down to dinner this evening, take time out to remember the source of all blessings... and make a point of telling somebody about Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior, and what He has done with your life. Make an effort to spread God's greatest blessing of all - salvation by grace through faith in the Lord Jesus Christ.
Yours in Christ, and Happy Thanksgiving,
Web Site Update - Moving Things Around
We recently started some site changes, so some of you might experience a few broken links as we move things around. All of the new link locations are in the table of contents, on the left side of the main page towards the top of www.Christ.com. Some of these old links have been obsolete for years, so we did a little cleanup. Sorry for the inconvenience, but we needed a few changes to the site before continuing with the Lord's work...
We will continue with cleanup and a few more moves in the next few weeks, and Lord willing fix a few problems around the site. Praise God we are still doing His work after all these years. We have learned a lot along the way, and will continue to press on in spreading the gospel of salvation by grace through faith in the Lord Jesus Christ.
Yours in Christ,
Jesus is Alive!
Hallelujah, He is risen, and He is alive! The fact that Jesus Christ is alive, today, as the Son of God and our Lord and Saviour is what Christians throughout the world celebrate this time of year. When He conquered death on the Cross, He paid a price for our sins that we could never pay.
1In the end of the sabbath, as it began to dawn toward the first day of the week, came Mary Magdalene and the other Mary to see the sepulchre.
2And, behold, there was a great earthquake: for the angel of the Lord descended from heaven, and came and rolled back the stone from the door, and sat upon it.
3His countenance was like lightning, and his raiment white as snow:
4And for fear of him the keepers did shake, and became as dead men.
5And the angel answered and said unto the women, Fear not ye: for I know that ye seek Jesus, which was crucified.
6He is not here: for he is risen, as he said. Come, see the place where the Lord lay.
7And go quickly, and tell his disciples that he is risen from the dead; and, behold, he goeth before you into Galilee; there shall ye see him: lo, I have told you.
(Matthew 28:1-7, KJV)
36And as they thus spake, Jesus himself stood in the midst of them, and saith unto them, Peace be unto you.
37But they were terrified and affrighted, and supposed that they had seen a spirit.
38And he said unto them, Why are ye troubled? and why do thoughts arise in your hearts?
39Behold my hands and my feet, that it is I myself: handle me, and see; for a spirit hath not flesh and bones, as ye see me have.
40And when he had thus spoken, he shewed them his hands and his feet.
41And while they yet believed not for joy, and wondered, he said unto them, Have ye here any meat?
42And they gave him a piece of a broiled fish, and of an honeycomb.
43And he took it, and did eat before them.
(Luke 24:36-43, KJV)
In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God.
(John 1:1, KJV)
And the Word was made flesh, and dwelt among us, (and we beheld his glory, the glory as of the only begotten of the Father,) full of grace and truth.
(John 1:14, KJV)
And He still dwells among us, Praise God! When He rose from the tomb He showed all of us the way to eternal life: "For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God:" (John 1:14, KJV), and has made this gift available for free... if you ask.
4But God, who is rich in mercy, for his great love wherewith he loved us,
5Even when we were dead in sins, hath quickened us together with Christ, (by grace ye are saved;)
6And hath raised us up together, and made us sit together in heavenly places in Christ Jesus:
7That in the ages to come he might shew the exceeding riches of his grace in his kindness toward us through Christ Jesus.
8For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God:
9Not of works, lest any man should boast.
(Ephesians 2:4-9, KJV)
We really do serve a living God, so make a point about telling somebody about it... every day. Remember: Their life depends on it. So spread the blessing by telling others about Jesus, and the fact that He is risen.
God bless you,
Suppose ye that I am come to give peace on earth? I tell you, Nay; but rather division (Luke 12:51)
